Kundalini Flow

Tania Sturzenegger is returning to Zurich after a period of one year working in São Paulo, Brazil. She brings us the experience of a practice developed by herself, named the Kundalini Flow, which is based on the knowledge of Kundalini Yoga and Vinyása Flow. A vigorous combination of muscular and breathing exercises that stimulates the elimination of toxins and improves the functioning of the nervous system, muscles and tendons. The inner parts of the body profit from the bandha massages, which are special dynamics of muscular contractions that stimulate and provide balance for the functioning of hormonal glands. The natural flow of energy is recovered and the chakras (vortexes of subtle energy) may now re-establish their natural balance. The method makes abdominal and pelvic muscles stronger. Tania gives classes on a regular basis at the Arena 222 Holmes Place, Yoganataion and Besucherdienst, an institution that provides for the reintegration of psychiatric patients into social life. By using her method of Yoga, Tania has attained some remarkable results with this group of trainers. For more details, please check their website at www.besuchsdients.ch. Tania has also enjoyed the experience of closely working with groups of foreign women living in Zurich. In a series of meetings, she offered workshops and presentations about the feminine energy and its liberating potential. Initially the group was formed mostly by Brazilian and Latin women, but soon there were other groups of foreign women interested in her work. Tania teaches in Portuguese, German, Italian and English. She also speaks Spanish and French.

About her method, Tania says: "Kundalini Flow is the name I gave to a technique, a method that I had been developing for the past three years. During my stay in Zurich, the Kundalini Flow was perfected to its current state. My experience with many different groups of people - especially those of the Besuchsdients, formed by people who suffered from psychiatric disorders, and also women diagnosed with depression -, made me confident that I was on the right path." During this period Tania has also worked with groups of women concerned with the changes involving the birth of a new baby, menopause and other feminine issues. Above all, a good method should help prevent health problems. And in order to be considered Yoga, it should lead us to experience the divine union within ourselves. Thus we would not feel as only half a person. For those who enjoy breathing exercises, this technique combines breathing and movement in a continuous flow, resorting to a series of bandhas, asanas, relaxing and meditation practices. This is a great class, in which you will feel your body liberating toxins and being able to breathe anew! The body releases the tension with breathing exercises, stretching, compensation movements, and exercises that help the organism to harmonize body and mind in its totality.

Kundalini is the primary energy, the powerful energy of life in eternal transformation and we have it in our own bodies. Some people are afraid of awakening their Kundalini - in such cases I would recommend them not to choose Yoga. Consciousness may arise out from feelings of pain. We may feel it and believe it just pain, but it may be the opening of consciousness. Sometimes the process may be experienced this way. As our consciousness expands, we feel the need of sharing our knowledge. And because of this I would like to share with everyone this wonderful gift that was given to me by my spiritual teachers, those who guide me through the road of self-awareness. My own heart, Bagawan Nityananda, Bagawan Muktananda, Gurumayi Childvilásananda, and more recently Yogui Bhajan and Felicity MacDonald. I bow down at the lotus feet of these beloved human beings.
